Best AI workout planner
AI workout planner usually means the app writes the next session. Sometimes that is what you want. Sometimes you wanted a log, and the planner will not stop rewriting the day. Separate those products before you compare prices.
Three different AI jobs
One job is 'build me a week from my goal and my equipment.' Another is 'turn this video or this note into a program.' A third is 'comment on the program I already wrote.' TrackYourLift's cloud AI is aimed at those three, not at a secret model that lives on the phone.
Fitbod is the comparison we maintain for the daily-generated style. Alpha Progression is the other name people bring up. Both can be right if you want the app to choose. Confirm their current features on their own sites.
You still have to edit
A draft that ignores an injury or invents a machine is a bad draft, even if the prose sounds confident. Read it. The in-app disclaimer is the right size: general planning, not a clinician and not a coach.
TrackYourLift is free to use, with an optional Pro upgrade. Pro is $1.99/month. Pro AI is $3.99/month and includes cloud AI program building. YouTube import uses AI credits: Pro includes a monthly allotment, and Pro AI does not meter those credits. Photo import is a Pro AI feature.
When to skip AI
If you are running a simple 5x5, you do not need a model. Build the two days and add weight when the reps are complete. AI is there for the weeks when the plan is a video, a photo, or a schedule you do not want to assemble by hand.
Is the AI on-device?
No. Generation runs in the cloud.
Does the free plan include AI?
AI program generation is locked on the free plan. Pro includes a small monthly credit allotment. Pro AI is the unlimited tier, and it is the tier that includes photo import.
