Alternative

Alpha Progression alternative

Alpha Progression is in the 'tell the app your goal and it writes the workouts' category, close in spirit to other AI planners. TrackYourLift can draft a plan too, and it is also the log you use when you already have the plan. Those are both worth wanting, and they are not the same Tuesday.

Generated days versus a program you keep

A generated plan is convenient when you do not want to choose exercises. It is frustrating when you wanted to keep the same squat pattern for eight weeks and the app swapped it. Ask whether you can freeze a day and repeat it.

TrackYourLift's cloud AI can build a program from goals, a YouTube link, or a photo. After that, the program is yours to edit. The next session does not have to be a new invention.

Logging still has to be fast

Whatever builds the plan, you still type weight and reps between sets. Judge the logger with sweaty hands, not the onboarding quiz. You can log weight and reps on Apple Watch. The Watch app needs the iPhone nearby. It is not a watch that stores the workout on its own and syncs later.

TrackYourLift is free to use, with an optional Pro upgrade. Pro is $1.99/month. Pro AI is $3.99/month and includes cloud AI program building. YouTube import uses AI credits: Pro includes a monthly allotment, and Pro AI does not meter those credits. Photo import is a Pro AI feature.

Is TrackYourLift's AI on the phone?

No. Program generation from text, YouTube, or a photo uses cloud AI.

Can I ignore AI and just log?

Yes. The free plan is a tracker and a manual program builder. AI is optional.
