How to perform this exercise
- Lie on a bench face-up with your head hanging off the end.
- Place a weight plate on your forehead and hold it in place with your hands.
- Tuck your chin toward your chest, raising your head against the resistance.
- Hold briefly at the top.
- Slowly lower back to the starting position.
- Use very light weight — the neck muscles are small and injury-prone.
- Repeat for the desired number of repetitions.
