How to perform this exercise
- Sit at the universal press machine shoulder press station and adjust the seat so handles are at shoulder height.
- Grip the handles and sit upright with your back against the pad.
- Press the handles overhead until your arms are nearly fully extended, avoiding full lockout.
- Keep your core braced and avoid arching your lower back excessively.
- Lower the handles back to shoulder height with control.
- Perform 3-4 sets of 10-12 repetitions.
