How to perform this exercise

  1. Sit facing the universal press machine low row station. Adjust the seat and chest pad so you can comfortably reach the handles.
  2. Grip the handles with an overhand or neutral grip.
  3. Sit tall with a slight forward lean and your chest against the pad if provided.
  4. Pull the handles back toward your torso, driving your elbows back and squeezing your shoulder blades together.
  5. Hold the contracted position briefly, then extend your arms back to the start with control.
  6. Perform 3-4 sets of 10-12 repetitions.
