How to perform this exercise
- Sit at the universal press machine chest press station and adjust the seat so the handles are at mid-chest height.
- Grip the handles with an overhand grip, palms facing down or forward.
- Plant your feet flat on the floor and press your back firmly against the pad.
- Press the handles straight forward until your arms are nearly fully extended, squeezing your chest at full extension.
- Slowly return the handles back to chest height, feeling a stretch in your pecs.
- Perform 3-4 sets of 10-15 repetitions with controlled movement.
