How to perform this exercise

  1. Anchor a resistance band to a low fixed object and loop it behind one knee.
  2. Stand facing the anchor with the band pulling the knee into slight flexion.
  3. Fully extend the knee against the band resistance.
  4. Hold briefly at full extension, squeezing the quad.
  5. Slowly allow the knee to bend back to the starting position.
  6. Repeat for the desired number of repetitions then switch sides.
