How to perform this exercise
- Set the Smith machine bar at upper chest height and step under it.
- Position the bar across your upper traps and unrack it.
- Stand with feet shoulder-width apart, slightly in front of the bar.
- Squat down until your thighs are parallel to the floor, keeping your torso upright.
- Drive through your heels to stand for 3-4 sets of 8-12 reps.
