How to perform this exercise

  1. Set the Smith machine bar at upper chest height and step under it.
  2. Position the bar across your upper traps and unrack it.
  3. Stand with feet shoulder-width apart, slightly in front of the bar.
  4. Squat down until your thighs are parallel to the floor, keeping your torso upright.
  5. Drive through your heels to stand for 3-4 sets of 8-12 reps.
