How to perform this exercise
- Stand holding a dumbbell in one hand at your side, arm fully extended.
- Keep your posture upright, core engaged.
- Shrug the shoulder of the working arm straight up toward your ear as high as possible.
- Hold briefly at the top, squeezing the trap.
- Lower the shoulder back to the starting position.
- Repeat for the desired number of repetitions then switch sides.
