How to perform this exercise
- Hold a barbell in front of your thighs with an overhand grip, arms extended.
- Slightly bend your knees and hips.
- Drive through your legs explosively while simultaneously shrugging your shoulders upward.
- Use the momentum from the leg drive to shrug heavier than you normally could.
- Let the bar float slightly as your shoulders reach maximum height.
- Lower back to the starting position.
- Repeat for the desired number of repetitions.
