How to perform this exercise
- Sit at a lateral raise machine and adjust the seat height so your elbows align with the padded arm rests.
- Rest your upper arms against the pads with elbows bent at 90 degrees.
- Grip the handles or rest arms against pads.
- Push both arms upward and out to the sides until they reach shoulder height.
- Hold briefly at the top.
- Slowly lower back to the starting position.
- Repeat for the desired number of repetitions.
