How to perform this exercise
- Stand beside a cable machine with the pulley set to the lowest position.
- Hold an upright support with your near hand and lean away from the machine.
- Grip the cable handle with your far hand, arm hanging across your body.
- Raise your arm out to the side in a lateral arc until it reaches shoulder height.
- Hold briefly at the top.
- Slowly lower back to the starting position.
- Repeat for the desired number of repetitions then switch sides.
