How to perform this exercise

  1. Step onto the elliptical machine and grip the moving handlebars firmly.
  2. Begin pedaling at a relaxed pace with light resistance on your legs.
  3. Increase resistance on the handlebars and focus on driving them forward and back with your arms.
  4. Push the handles forward to engage your chest and triceps; pull back to engage your back and biceps.
  5. Keep your core engaged and minimize leg effort, letting the arms do the primary work.
  6. Maintain this upper-body-dominant effort for 10-20 minutes.
