How to perform this exercise

  1. Stand with feet significantly wider than shoulder-width apart.
  2. Shift your weight to one side, bending that knee into a deep squat while keeping the other leg straight.
  3. The foot of the straight leg stays flat or the toes point upward.
  4. Hold briefly at the bottom, feeling a stretch through the inner thigh of the straight leg.
  5. Press through the bent leg heel to return to the starting position.
  6. Alternate sides each rep.
  7. Repeat for the desired number of repetitions per side.
