How to perform this exercise

  1. Stand in the calf raise machine and place your shoulders under the padded yokes.
  2. Position the balls of your feet on the footplate with your heels hanging off the edge.
  3. Lower your heels as far as comfortable to get a full stretch.
  4. Rise onto your toes as high as possible, squeezing your calves at the top.
  5. Lower slowly back to the stretch position for 3-4 sets of 15-20 reps.
