How to perform this exercise

  1. Stand holding a barbell in front of your thighs with an overhand grip, hands shoulder-width apart.
  2. Explosively pull the barbell upward, leading with your elbows flaring out to the sides.
  3. Pull until your elbows reach shoulder height and the bar is at collarbone level.
  4. Lower the barbell in a controlled manner back to the starting position.
  5. Repeat for the desired number of repetitions.
