How to perform this exercise
- Position yourself on a donkey calf raise machine, leaning forward with the pad across your lower back.
- Place the balls of your feet on the footplate with heels hanging off.
- Lower your heels as far as comfortable for a full calf stretch.
- Drive through the balls of your feet to raise your heels as high as possible.
- Hold briefly at the top, squeezing the calves.
- Lower back to the starting position.
- Repeat for the desired number of repetitions.
